ROSALYNN CARTER’S CHEESE RING

This Rosalynn Carter’s Cheese Recipe is a great way to make a homemade cheese appetizer that is easy and does not take long to prepare.

Ingredients

– sharp cheddar cheese – medium sized onion – cayenne pepper – pecans – mayonnaise

Grate cheese into a large bowl, peel and grate the onion onto a paper towel, then wring out excess water and add to the cheese.

Mix in mayonnaise and cayenne pepper. Toast pecans in a small pan over low heat for about 5 minutes, chop, and add to the mixture.

Stir well to combine, then shape the cheese mixture into a ring on a plate. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Before serving, fill the center with your favorite preserves, such as strawberry, and serve with crackers or pretzels.
