Crock Pot Cranberry Butter

Crock Pot Cranberry Butter – We love cranberries! They are sweet and tart and this butter is smooth and scrumptious.  This cranberry butter is really easy to make and would make a great holiday gift.

 

 

Crock Pot Cranberry Butter  is a sweet, tart, concentrated of cranberry boldness.  It’s like a cousin of homemade cranberry sauce – only it’s smoother, creamier and the perfect spread for breads, english muffins and croissants.

You will be replacing your apple butter and butter with this amazingly delicious tart and sweet butter.  Spread some on your bagel and cream cheese. Seriously delicious!!

Making this crock pot cranberry butter is a cinch!  One of the easiest thing you can make in your crock pot. 

Ingredients 
2- 12 oz cranberries, rinsed 
1 cup light brown sugar
2 whole cinnamon sticks
1 cup apple cider

Combine ingredients in a crockpot, mixing until combined

Turn the crockpot on to high and let it cook until the cranberries are soft, about 2 hours

Remove the cinnamon stick and scoop the mixture into s food processor or blender and blend until pureed.

 

Using a strainer, push the cranberry through using a rubber spatula

throw away the solids from the cranberries

Place the butter back into the crockpot and turn it onto low

Allow the butter to thicken before removing , about an hour before removing and canning.

 

You can add this cranberry butter to so many things. It’s not just a spread. Try making desserts with it. Maybe cranberry crumble bars.  Add it to any dessert you would normally add fruit to. Use your imagination. You will want this on your holiday table or any table.
