When it comes to pumpkin we don’t think there is a dessert we have ever tasted that we didn’t fall in love with. We even make a Spicy Pumpkin Soup that is a favorite.

These Whoopie Pies are so simple to make because they start out with a cake mix and we just love easy recipes. And we always have cake mixes and cans of pumpkins in the pantry.

The rest of the recipe consists of just butter, cream cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

These Whoopie Pies will come together so quickly.

Combine the spice cake mix and pumpkin puree until just combined.

Spoon the batter by heaping spoonfuls onto your baking sheet.

Bake cookies!  While you let the cookies cool, in a large bowl, mix butter until it is light and fluffy.

Add the cream cheese and mix again. Next, add the maple syrup, vanilla, and powdered sugar.

Mix well until ingredients combine and frosting forms

Once the cookies have cooled, pipe your frosting onto one cookie, and place another on top to make a sandwich. Finish by decorating with fun Fall sprinkles.
