These Snowman Cupcakes are perfect for a winter-themed party, or just a fun way to celebrate the chilly season. You don’t need any fancy tools or techniques to make them- they’re simple enough that kids could even help out!

– unsalted butter – granulated sugar – sour cream – eggs – vanilla extract – baking powder – salt – all purpose flour


Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare cupcake pan with liners. Mix butter and sugar, then add sour cream, vanilla, and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.



Slowly add dry ingredients to wet, avoiding overmixing. Scoop batter into liners and bake for 20 minutes. Cool before frosting. For frosting, mix butter, powdered sugar, marshmallow fluff, and cream until fluffy.



Decorate cooled cupcakes with eyes, mouth, and nose using edible marker and food gel. Create a snowman hat from rolled black fondant. Frost cupcakes, add marshmallow, and top with the fondant hat.
