These Spicy Green Beans with Caramelized Pecans are the perfect side dish for any meal. Made with fresh green beans, this healthy recipe is loaded with flavor and a nice crunch from the pecans.
– fine green beans – large red bell pepper – butter – granulated sugar – pecans – ground cumin – chili powder – cayenne pepper
To make this dish, steam or boil green beans and red pepper strips until crisp-tender (4-6 minutes for frozen, 4 minutes for fresh). Meanwhile, melt butter and sugar in a pan, then add cumin, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.
Stir in pecans until caramelized (about 4 minutes). Drain the veggies and transfer to a bowl, tossing quickly with the nut mixture before serving.
