Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs - beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 1/4 cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Oil
  • 1/2 cup Root Beer
  • 1/2 teaspoon Root Beer flavoring ( I used LorAnn Oils from Amazon) You can also use McCormick
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

For Topping:

  • Syrup
  • Whipped Cream
  • Cherries

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the Eggs, Sugar, Milk, Oil, Root Beer, and Root Beer flavoring, and stir well to blend.
  • In a separate bowl, add the Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt, and stir well to blend.  Add the Flour mixture to the large bowl, a little at a time, stirring well between additions to blend.  Batter may be a little lumpy, but that's okay.
  • Turn on your Waffle Maker, and heat according to instructions.
  • When ready, add the Waffle Batter about 3/4 a cup at a time,  to the Waffle Maker, until all the batter is used, and you have a stack of Waffles.
  • Butter the Waffles as they are removed from the Waffle Maker, and plate 2 or 3 at a time.  Top with Syrup, Whipped Cream, and a Maraschino Cherry.
  • Serve, and Enjoy!
