Slow Cooker Cube Steak and Gravy

Slow Cooker Cube Steak and Gravy is a favorite comfort food meal. Growing up my mom used to buy cube steak a lot because it was inexpensive so she had to find ways to make it taste delicious. And she always did!

  • 2 lbs cube steaks
  • 10 1/2 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 12 oz pkg fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1 pkg brown gravy
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • flour for dredging
  • salt and pepper for tasting


  1. In a large skillet, heat oil in pan over medium-high heat.

    In a skillet heat oil on medium- high. Salt and pepper your cube steaks. Lightly dredge in flour then brown steaks on each side and transfer to slow cooker. 

    Mix cream of mushroom soup, brown gravy  and water in a medium size bowl and pour over steaks. Add sliced onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Stir everything together in slow cooker.

    Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours. Depending on how your slow cooker. I cook mine for 8 hours

    I serve over mashed potatoes but you could serve over rice, noodles or serve next to your favorite veggie.
