Apple Raisin Pie

Apple Raisin Pie Recipe – When I first made this pie I was unsure if my family would like it.  Now whenever I serve this pie, someone at the table asks for a second piece.

Old Fashioned Apple Raisin Pie has an old-fashioned goodness and a delicious, crunchy topping.  It is a vintage pie worth trying. A pie of days gone by.

I remember this pie being made by my neighbor when I was growing up. I recall her telling me her grandma used to always make apple pies with raisins. She actually told me her grandma used to also make a simple raisin pie. I don’t know about that one lol. Back in the day you used what you had I suppose.

This recipe is so simple to make and delicious. I think adding cranberries instead of raisins around Christmas time would be a wonderful addition also.

Apple Raisin Pie has an abundance of apples and is not too sweet, not too tart and ust enough raisins.

It can be served warm or cold but I suggest warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is the perfect pie when you want a little twist on your regular apple pie.
