🔪 How to Make Stovetop Chicken Noodle Soup
Making this delicious and hearty soup is so easy. Just follow the steps below or in the recipe card at the bottom of the post and you will have a delicious meal that your whole family will enjoy in no time at all.
Step 1: Cook the vegetables
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 2 minutes. And, then add to the pot add the carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook the mixture together with the onions for 5 minutes, stirring often.
Step 2: Cook the chicken
Add the chicken thighs, chicken broth, and chicken bouillon cubes to the pot. And, then bring the soup to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Simmer covered for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Shred the chicken
Remove the chicken from the soup, trim off any fat, and shred the meat with forks; set aside.
Step 4: Add the noodles
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the frozen noodles. Boil for 10-12 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
Step 5: Add the chicken and adjust the seasoning
Add the chicken back to the soup along with the fresh chopped parsley; stir well. And, then taste the soup and add salt and pepper to taste. Serve while hot.
