Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder and set it aside.

In a large bowl cream together the oil, butter, and sour cream until combined.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.

Use a cookie scoop to place cookie dough balls on a baking tray. Then bake for 8 minutes in a 350-degree preheated oven. Cool.

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Frosting:
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons half n half
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the flour, salt and baking powder and set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the oil, butter and sour cream until creamy.
  • Add in the sugar and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
  • Add in the dry ingredients and beat until all ingredients are combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop and make balls about ¾” big and place on a baking tray about an inch apart.
  • Spray the bottom of a glass and use it to gently press down to slightly flatten the cookies.
  • Bake for 8 minutes and remove and let cool on a cooling rack.
  • Repeat until all cookies are baked.
  • Once the cookies are cooled, to make the frosting beat the butter, powdered sugar and vanilla.
  • Add in the half and half in small increments until you get a frosting thick enough to spread on the cookies.
  • Use a small offset spatula and swirl frosting on the top of each cookie and decorate with sprinkles of choice!
