🔪 How to Make Christmas Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Making this recipe is a very straightforward affair. It only takes a little melting, a little dipping, and then a little waiting. That’s it!

Step 1: Prep

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. Then, wash and dry the strawberries.

Step 2: Make the White Chocolate Strawberries

Melt the white chocolate along with 1 tsp of coconut oil to prevent seizing. Then, dip half the strawberries in the chocolate and then roll in a shallow dish of sprinkles. Place them on the parchment paper to harden.

Step 3: Make the Chocolate Strawberry Reindeer

Melt the chocolate chips with 1 tsp of coconut oil. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate and place them on the parchment paper. While the chocolate is setting, place 6 chocolate sprinkles at the top of the strawberries to look like antlers.

Step 4: Add the Eyes

Before the chocolate is totally set, add googly eye sprinkles under the antlers.

Step 5: Make the Nose

Once the chocolate is set, add a large dot of cookie icing to the tip of the strawberry reindeer. Then, dip the “nose” in red sprinkles to coat.

Step 6: Chill

Chill the strawberries until ready to serve. Bring them out 30 minutes before serving, then enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate
  • Christmas sprinkles
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil seperated
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • Red sprinkles
  • Cookie Icing
  • Google eye sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Wash and dry strawberries.
  • Melt white chocolate with 1 tsp coconut oil to keep chocolate from seizing.
  • Dip strawberry in white chocolate and then directly in sprinkles. Place on the parchment paper lined baking sheet to set.
  • Melt chocolate chips with 1 tsp of coconut oil.
  • Dip strawberry in chocolate and set on the baking sheet.
  • White chocolate is setting place 6 chocolate sprinkles at the top of the strawberry arranged to look like antlers.
  • Before chocolate is totally set place two googly eye sprinkles under the antlers.
  • Once chocolate is set, make a large dot of white cookie icing at the tip of the strawberry for a nose.
  • Dip the icing dot in red sprinkles, giving the strawberry a rudolph nose.
  • Store strawberries in the refrigerator and bring out 30 min before serving.

Notes

If strawberries are not completely dry the chocolate will not adhere as well.
