Creamy Garlic Shrimp
Equipment
- large skillet
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp 16/21, shelled, tail on or off (your preference)
- 3 tablespoons butter room temp
- 3 tablespoons garlic minced
- ½ cup lobster stock
- 1 ½ cups half and half
- ¾ cup parmesan cheese grated
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Melt one tbs butter in the skillet and fry the shrimp on both sides for 2-3 minutes each. Remove to a plate and set aside.
- Melt another tbsp butter in the same skillet. Add the garlic to saute for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Add the lobster stock (or substitute) and bring to a simmer. Add the half and half.
- When the sauce comes back to a simmer, add the grated cheese and stir into the sauce as it melts.
- Let simmer while the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the shrimp back to the sauce. Stir to combine and adjust salt and pepper to taste at this time.
- Serve over pasta.
