This recipe calls for ground beef, a mix of onion and green bell pepper for that classic sloppy joe flavor, and a couple of pantry heroes, Sloppy Joe sauce and cheddar cheese soup. The dry pasta cooks right in the Crock Pot, absorbing all that bold, cheesy goodness. We finish it with shredded cheddar for the melty, gooey top everyone loves.

Variations

  • Use ground turkey or chicken: Lighten things up without losing flavor.
  • Swap the cheese: Try Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack for a little kick.
  • Add spice: A dash of hot sauce or chili flakes brings heat.
  • Mix in veggies: Mushrooms, zucchini, or corn all work great here.
