Strawberry Cream Puffs Variations
These strawberry cream puffs are so good just as they are that you’ll probably make them with no changes for quite a while. However, should you feel creative, you’ll be happy to know that you can switch things up very easily with this recipe.
All you have to do is finely dice different fruit to create different cream puff flavors. Almost any soft fruit will work. Apricots, plums, and peaches work well. Berries like blackberries and raspberries work well, too, and you don’t need to chop them. Just smash them up and blend with the whipped cream filling.
If chocolate is your bag, a little cocoa powder will give you a chocolate cream filling for your cream puffs. Looking for something a little different? Add some cinnamon to the filling.
You can also try adding different extracts to the filling to change up the flavor. You’ll find all kinds of interesting options in the baking aisle of your grocery store from lemon to maple.
