Turkey and Stuffing Turnovers

Turkey and Stuffing Turnovers – A creative way to serve turkey and stuffing that the whole family will love!

Turkey and Stuffing Turnovers are an easy to make and delicious way to use turkey or chicken that you may have leftover and turn it into something different for dinner.

We started making a turkey breast every couple of months or so and having a turkey dinner one night then using the rest for  a pot pie, these tuenovers, turkey ala king ect. It’s great having cooked turkey breast on hand. Just defrost it in the fridge overnight and you can make a quick dinner in no time.

With these Turkey and Stuffing Turnovers you can add turkey, stuffing and some cranberry sauce. And I love dipping in cranberry sauce too. And of course dipping in gravy is delicious also. Sometimes I like an easy dinner that you can just pick up with your hands. We like to serve these turnovers with a nice bowl of hot soup.

You can serve these as an appetizer on game day also. You can either make them smaller or what I do is cut them in half ( it’s easier that way). You can make them ahead of time and just bake them when your guests arrive.

These turnovers are so simple to make! Here is what you will need:

 Turkey Turnovers:

  • 1 package of puff pastry dough

  • 2 cups cooked turkey

  • 1 1/2 cups stuffing

  • 1/2 stick of butter; melted

 Simple Cranberry Sauce:

  • 1 cup cranberries

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Instructions:

For Turkey Turnovers:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Pull out puff pastry dough and bring to room temperature as directed on the box.

3. Place puff pastry onto a cutting board and cut out squares. Turn the dough to look like a diamond shape.

4. Fill each dough with stuffing and turkey. Fold over and press with fork.

5. Cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Pull and brush with butter. Cook an additional 3 to 5 minutes until lightly brown.

For Cranberry Sauce:

1. Add cranberries, juice, and sugar to a small saucepan. Cook on medium heat until cranberries start to burst.

2. Using a spatula press down on cranberries to pop them. Cook down until it resembles cranberry sauce.

3. If it’s too watery add more sugar.

Try these Turkey and Stuffing Turnovers. I think you will love them!
