Classic Sugar Cookies - Everyone should have a classic sugar cookie recipe. This is mine. It is great for any occasion. Change out the sprinkles or sparkles for the holiday or occasion your making them for. They are everyone's favorite cookie!

Ingredients
1 ½ cupsunsalted sweet cream butter, softened
½cupssugar
2large eggs
1tbsppure vanilla extract
4 ¼cupsflour
1 ½tspbaking powder
½tspbaking soda
¼tspcream of tartar
1container of christmas sanding sugar
Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line cookies sheets with parchment paper. Set aside2.Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until combined3.Beat in the eggs, one at a time until combined4.Mix in the vanilla until combined5.Using a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cream of tarter until combined6.Gradually mix in the dry ingredients into the wet Mix until combined7.Using a small ice cream scooper, scoop out dough and roll into a ball8.Set aside onto the cookie sheet9.Repeat step until all dough is molded into balls10.Pour the sanding sugar into a large bowl11.Roll each dough ball into the sanding sugar and place back onto the cookie sheets about 2-3 inches apart from each other.12.Once all dough balls have been coated into the sanding sugar, using the palm of your hand, lightly push down the dough balls into thick disk13.Bake in the preheated oven for about 11-13 minutes or until lightly browned13. The cookies will slightly be under cookedAllow cookies to cool completely
