Ingredients

Hand Pies

  • 1 Can of 8 Large Biscuits
  • 1 (21 Ounce) Can Apple Pie Filling
  • ¼ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ⅛ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

Glaze:

  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Milk (adjust to reach desired consistency)

Instructions

Hand Pies:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine the apple pie filling, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Then cut the apple slices into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the biscuits onto a lightly floured surface, and press to flatten into large circles about a ¼ inch thick. Scoop 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling onto one half of a biscuit leaving about half an inch uncovered around the edge.
  • Fold the empty half of the biscuit over, and use a fork to crimp shut. Poke holes in the top for air vents
  • Repeat with the remaining biscuits and apple pie filling.
  • Bake the pies for 18-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
  • While the hand pies bake, make the glaze

Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar and milk. Adjust the milk to reach the desired consistency.
  • After the hand pies have baked and cooled completely, use a spoon or a plastic zip bag with the tip cut off to drizzle the glaze over the hand pies.
  • Serve warm. Store any leftovers in an airtight container, and enjoy within 3-4 days.
