Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high heat. (or any other type of skillet)
In the hot skillet, add olive oil, ground beef, onion and minced garlic.
Cook everything until the beef is brown, stirring frequently. 5-7 min.
Remove the browned beef, onions and garlic from heat, and drain the grease.
Return the skillet and beef mix to the stovetop. At medium high heat, add oil and all of the other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium, and cover the pan with a lid allowing the skillet to cook for 15 minutes. Uncover the skillet and simmer on medium heat until the liquid in the skillet has reduced. Be sure to stir frequently. Reducing the liquid should take around 12-15 minutes, but cooking times may vary depending on the type of stove or range.
