Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 6 cups fresh broccoli chopped
  • 8 strips bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium red or yellow bell pepper seeded and chopped
  • ½ red onion peeled and chopped
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • cup sliced almonds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, brown sugar, and vinegar. Cover the bowl and refrigerate while you complete the next steps.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, bacon, chopped bell pepper, chopped red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced almonds.
  • Remove the dressing from the refrigerator, stir well, and add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the dressing to the broccoli salad and toss to combine.
  • Refrigerate the salad until serving.
