French Dip Pull Apart Bread

This French dip pull apart bread stuffs soft Italian bread with provolone cheese, roast beef, and onions to create a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 14 ounce italian bread unsliced
  • 7 ounces deli sliced roast beef
  • 10 slices provolone
  • Half of a small onion caramelized (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • 10.5 ounces beef consomme

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Slice about 10 slices into your bread, do not cut all the way through the bread!
  • Place the bread on to a lined baking tray.
  • Fold in half a slice of cheese and place into each slit in the bread.
  • Place 2 slices of roast beef into each slice in the bread.
  • Spoon some of the caramelized onion into each slice in the bread, optional.
  • In a small bowl combine the softened butter with the garlic powder and dried parsley.
  • Brush the loaf with the butter mixture.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melty.
  • Meanwhile mix the consomme with a can of water and warm up.
  • Serve the bread with the consomme for dipping.
