Almond Cream Cheese Cookies

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • *powdered sugar for rolling cookies in

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, place the cream cheese and beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the butter and beat until butter lightens in color. Add in the sugar and beat some more.
  • Add eggs and vanilla and almond extracts and continue to mix.
  • Add in the flour, baking powder and salt and mix until well combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop to scoop dough onto a cookie pan and place in the oven for 9-11 minutes, just until the edges turn a little bit golden on the bottom.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the pan for 1 minute before rolling the cookies in powdered sugar.
  • Place on a cooling rack and let cool completely.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
