BBQ New Orleans Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp shelled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 3-4 cloves minced garlic
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • ¼ cup worcestershire sauce
  • cup chicken broth
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a pan, melt half the butter over medium-high heat, add the minced garlic and saute until fragrant.
  • Next, add the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, broth, lemon juice, cajun seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • Mix well and bring to a simmer for a few minutes until the sauce is reduced by half, about 6-7 minutes. Taste for flavor and adjust the seasonings.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side depending on the size of the shrimp.
  • Reduce the heat and place the remaining butter on top of the shrimp. Serve with steamed rice and enjoy.
