Equipment

  • large mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Cookie scoop
  • cookie sheet or baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • small bowl or shallow dish

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups butter softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar plus more for dusting
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 12 ounces mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the powdered sugar, salt, and extracts and beat until well creamed.
  • Add in the flour and mix. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Use a cookie scoop (about a tablespoon in size) and scoop each cookie onto a nonstick baking tray.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 9-10 minutes, do not overbake.
  • Remove and place on a cooling rack and come to room temperature.
  • Once all the cookies have cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
