Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 11 ounces dark chocolate bar
  • Optional: Sea salt flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, sugar and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, thoroughly mixing each egg into the batter.
  • Add in the vanilla and mix.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda.
  • Add it to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.
  • On a cutting board, cut up the chocolate into small chunks.
  • Stir into the cookie batter until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Using a cookie scoop, roll into balls a generous tablespoon size and place on a cookie sheet about 2-3” apart.
  • Bake for 12-13 minutes. Remove and immediately sprinkle with sea salt and let cool.
