This Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Trifle is made with layers of creamy pudidng, chopped cakes, and swet whipped topping. It's a colorful dessert that will be a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes you will need 14 cakes
  • 6 ounces cheesecake instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 12 ounces cool whip - thawed
  • Red gel writing icing
  • Green sanding sugar
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding and milk, until smooth.
  • Add half of the cool whip, and whisk until combined.
  • To layer the trifle, create the bottom layer by breaking 6 of the Christmas tree cakes into large chunks, and lining the bottom of the bowl.
  • Add half of the pudding mixture for the 2nd layer, and smooth out evenly.
  • Make a second layer of Christmas tree cakes with the 6 remaining cakes.
  • Add another layer of the pudding.
  • Top with the remaining cool whip.
  • Use the red gel writing icing to draw stripes on the trifle, like those that are on the Christmas tree cakes.
  • Sprinkle with green sanding sugar.
  • If desired, top the trifle with two extra Christmas tree cakes.
