Copycat Starbucks Cheese Danish
This copycat Starbucks cheese Danish is a quick and easy pastry loaded with rich, creamy cheese filling and golden, flaky puff pastry.

- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry thawed
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup granulated white sugar
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
In a small bowl, add the cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest, and salt.
Combine them using a whisk.
Lay both sheets of thawed puff pastry on a floured work surface.
Roll them out a bit.
Brush egg wash over the top of first layer.
Place the second layer of pastry sheet over the first one, gently press.
Then use a pizza cutter (or sharp knife) to cut the puff pastry sheet into 8 small rectangles.
Use a fork to poke holes down the center of each puff pastry rectangle.
Brush egg wash over the top of each rectangle.
Fill the piping bag with cream cheese mixture.
Pipe it evenly on each rectangle.
Bake the cheese danishes for 18-20 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
