Easy Honey Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 8 pound bone-in spiral sliced half ham
  • ½ tablespoon butter melted
  • cup honey
  • cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon onion powder
  • teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger
  • teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • Trim the ham if needed and place it in the slow cooker.
  • Combine the melted butter and honey, then massage the mixture over the ham, getting in between the slices a little.
  • Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  • In a bowl, combine the sugar, salt, onion powder, cinnamon, nutmeg,
  • ginger, paprika, and allspice. Pat half of this mixture on top of the ham and add the other half to the pan.
  • Add 3 tbsp of water or ham juice to the pan with the spice mixture and boil until the sugar dissolves.
  • Broil the ham with the sugar mixture on top for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Brush or pour the glaze over the ham, then broil again for another 2 minutes until slightly caramelized.
  • Serve warm or cold.
