Equipment

  • Knife
  • large mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces frozen peas thawed and drained
  • 6 strips of bacon cooked and chopped into small pieces
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients: Make sure your peas are fully thawed and drained of any excess water.
  • Dice the red onion, chop the cooked bacon, and shred the cheese if needed.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the peas, bacon, red onion, shredded cheese, and mayonnaise. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste, then stir again to evenly distribute the seasonings throughout the salad.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. For the best flavor, let it chill for several hours or overnight — this gives the ingredients time to meld together.
  • Serve: Before serving, give the salad a good stir to redistribute the mayo that may have settled.
