Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese optional
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced red onion
  • Pickles optional
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Rub olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper on both sides of the chicken.
  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Toast the buns on the grill for about 1–2 minutes until lightly golden. You can also enjoy them without toasting.
  • Mix the Mayo and Dijon mustard together.
  • Complete the sandwiches by adding the sauce on the buns, then layer the lettuce, grilled chicken, tomato, onion, cheese, and pickles.
