Guacamole Deviled Eggs

These Guacamole Deviled Eggs are an easy appetizer that is perfect for holidays, parties, or cookouts. They are a great twist on this classic dish.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard boiled eggs
  • 1 medium avocado
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped cilantro
  • Fresh chives for garnish
  • Pinch smoked paprika for garnish
  • Pinch of sea salt flakes

Instructions

  • Hard boil 6 eggs for 12 minutes, cool completely before slicing in half and removing the yolks, retaining only 4 yolks total.
  • Peel the avocado and mash with the 4 yolks.
  • Add the onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and mix with the avocado.
  • Squeeze the fresh lime juice and mix it in.
  • Chop the cilantro into small pieces, discarding the large pieces of stem and mix with the guacamole.
  • Choose a piping tip for easy filling of the eggs.
  • Place the guacamole into the piping bag and squeeze enough guacamole to fill each hole in the egg half.
  • Sprinkle with fresh chopped chives, a dusting of paprika and a tiny bit of sea salt flakes.
  • Serve immediately.
