Equipment

  • Wax paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • 1 medium microwave-safe bowl
  • Spatula or large spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped white almond bark or chocolate chips
  • 8 mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups cut in half – top down
  • 32 candy eyeballs
  • 16 long orange sprinkles I found some in my Halloween sprinkles
  • 32 round candies red hots, mini m&ms, sixlets, etc
  • 16 pretzel sticks cracked in half

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  • Microwave almond bark for 30 second increments, stirring well between each session until mostly melted, then stir until almond bark is melted completely.
  • Spoon uneven circles onto the wax paper – about ¼” thick.
  • Decorate your melted snowman puddles with candy eyeballs, peanut butter cups for hats, orange sprinkles for the carrot nose, round candies for buttons and pretzel sticks for the arms. Be creative placing the candies on the chocolate to give it the impression that the snowman dropped all of his stuff when he melted.

Notes

  • Prep all of the candies before you get started—including organizing the button colors so you can quickly grab for decorating your snowmen.
  • This is a great recipe to make with older kids, but assist them as the chocolate is hot and you don’t want them to get burned.
  • You may want to melt half of the chocolate at a time, and complete the snowmen one at a time.
  • You don’t want the chocolate to set before you are able to get all of the decorations on.
  • If you do find it set too fast for you, you can apply some chocolate to the back of the candies and apply to the snowman directly.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature, or place in the fridge or freezer.
