These old-fashioned peanut butter bars are loaded with rich, sweet peanut butter flavor and a touch of chocolate on each square!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi sweet or milk chocolate
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, Beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until well combined.
  • Add the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla and mix well.
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread out evenly edge to edge.
  • Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then cut into 24 bars. Place a Hershey’s Kiss in the center of each bar.
