Rum Soaked Cherries

These rum soaked cherries are a red, white, and blue boozy treat perfect for the Fourth of July. They're tropical, sweet, and so easy.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces Maraschino Cherries - with Stems - 30 - 33 count
  • 10 ounces Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • ½ cup Malibu Rum
  • Bright Blue Decorating Sugars

Instructions

  • Remove the Cherries from the Jars with small tongs, and place them on paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, add the White Chocolate melting wafers, and place in the Microwave to melt, stopping about every 15 to 20 seconds to stir the White Chocolate.
  • When it's completely melted, remove it from the Microwave, and stir in the Malibu Rum.
  • Place the Blue Sugars in a shallow dish. Take a Cherry by the Stem, and dip it into the White Chocolate, and then dip it into the Blue Sugars. Continue until all the Cherries have been dipped.
  • Place the dipped Cherries on a Parchment paper lined Cookie Sheet to set.
  • When the Chocolate has begun to set, about 30 minutes, place the Cookie sheet in the refrigerator.
  • Keep refrigerated until time to serve.
  • Serve, and Enjoy!
