Slow cooker cowboy beans take baked beans to the next level with ground beef, bacon, onions, bell peppers, and more in a simple BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef cooked and drained
  • 1 pound bacon diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper diced
  • 45 ounces pork and beans not drained
  • 48 ounces northern beans drained
  • 48 ounces red kidney beans drained
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3 teaspoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons mustard

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium high heat cook the bacon with the onion and green bell pepper.
  • Cook until the bacon is crispy.
  • Drain the grease.
  • To the slow cooker add the cooked drained beef, bacon, onion pepper mixture, pork and beans, northern beans, kidney beans, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar and mustard.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours.
  • Garnish with parsley if desired.
  • Serve!
