Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches

These Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches are so full of flavor! The meat cooks up nice and tender with Italian seasonings, pepperoncinis and giardiniera. The meat gets shredded up and piled on soft sub rolls with provolone cheese. These are always a crowd pleaser.

Equipment

  • Slow cooker (Crock-Pot)
  • Two forks (for shredding the beef)
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Tongs or a large spoon for serving

Ingredients

  • 3 pound chuck roast
  • 1 envelope italian dressing mix
  • 1 cup pepperoncinis drained
  • 1 cup giardiniera drained
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 sub rolls
  • Provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Add the chuck roast, Italian dressing mix, pepperoncinis, giardiniera, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and water to your slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 6 hours, until the meat is fork-tender.
  • Once cooked, drain off any excess liquid, then shred the beef. Feel free to shred the veggies along with the beef for extra flavor.
  • Add provolone cheese to your sub rolls, then pile on the shredded beef.
  • Top with extra pepperoncinis if desired and serve!
