These slow cooker pizza sloppy Joes combine classic sloppy Joes with pizza flavors for a fun new twist on a family classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound italian sausage
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 6 ounces pepperoni diced
  • 8 brioche buns
  • 20 slices mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • In a medium skillet over medium high heat, brown and drain your ground beef and italian sausage.
  • To your slow cooker add the ground beef, italian sausage, onion, bell pepper, garlic, spaghetti sauce and pepperoni.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  • 5 minutes before top with 4 slices of mozzarella cheese and let melt.
  • Stir the cheese into the sloppy joe mix.
  • Place a slice of mozzarella on the bottom of each bun and top with the sloppy joe mixture.
  • Top with another slice of mozzarella and the top bun.
  • Serve!
