Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
  • 2 cups toasted pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, sugar, oil, butter eggs and vanilla.
  • Whisk until smooth.
  • Add in the salt, cinnamon and flour and stir to combine.
  • Add in the chopped pecans.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Place the cake in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out cleanly.
  • Remove and let the cake cool before slicing and serving.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
