- 14.25 ounces cake mix
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup butter melted
- 3 eggs
Frosting
- 1 cup freeze dried strawberries
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray with flour in it and set it aside.
In a large bowl, place the cake mix, milk and melted butter and mix with a hand mixer until the batter is smooth.
Add in the eggs, one at a time and mix.
Pour the batter into the greased pan and place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
Remove and allow to cool completely to room temperature.
To make the frosting, in a food processor place the freeze dried strawberries and pulse until they turn into a fine powder. Set aside for a moment.
In a large bowl, beat the butter for 2-3 minutes until it’s lightened in color.
Add in the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk and beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Add in the freeze dried powder and mix until well incorporated.
Use a spatula and spread the frosting in an even layer over the entire cake.
Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
