We love Red Lobster. In fact, we’re pretty sure we’ve tried everything on their menu at least once. One of our favorites is their shrimp scampi. After a little trial and error, we created a copycat version that delivers everything the original has to offer, and maybe just a little more!

- Large shrimp – peeled and deveined with tails on
- Olive oil
- Butter – divided
- Minced garlic
- White wine
- Fresh lemon juice
- Italian seasoning

🔪 How to Make Copycat Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi
This recipe takes a few steps, but they all take very little time. It’s a little like layering flavors on the stovetop. You’ll be in and out of the kitchen in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Saute the Shrimp
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste. Then, saute in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and reduce the heat to medium.
Step 2: Make the Wine Sauce
Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Then, add garlic and saute for 30 seconds. Add the white wine and lemon juice and simmer until the liquid reduces by half. Mix in the rest of the butter and add Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Finish the Dish
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat well in the sauce. Add the parmesan to the skillet and stir to combine. Garnish with parsley and serve.

- Lemon Juice – If you don’t have a lemon, you can use RealLemon.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds Large shrimp peeled and deveined with tails on
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 8 tablespoons Butter divided
- 1 tablespoon Minced garlic
- ⅔ cup White wine
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ⅓ cup Grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the shrimp to the heated skillet, and saute until cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and reduce the heat to medium.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in the skillet.
- Stir in the garlic, and saute for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the white cooking wine and lemon juice, and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half.
- Mix in the rest of the butter until melted.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, and toss to coat well in the sauce.
- Add the parmesan to the skillet, and stir to combine.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
