🔪 How to Make This Strawberry Dragon Fruit Margarita

Making this recipe is incredibly simple. You’ll just blend the ingredients, rim the glasses, and serve.

Step 1: Prep

Rinse and dry the strawberries and dragon fruit. Then, cut the dragon fruit in half and use a melon baller to scoop out small balls of the flesh. Add the fruit to a bowl and place in the refrigerator.

Step 2: Rim the Glasses

Add honey to a shallow dish and margarita salt to another shallow dish. Dip the glass rims in the honey, then the salt. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Make the Margarita

Add the tequila, lime juice, 8 of the strawberries, 3 scoops of dragon fruit, honey, and ice cubes to a blender. Then, blend until smooth.

Step 4: Pour and Garnish

Remove the glasses from the refrigerator and pour in the margaritas. Slice the strawberries about 3/4 of the way up, starting at the bottom, and place one on each glass. Add a sprig of rosemary and a scoop of dragon fruit, and serve.

  • Use vodka in place of tequila if you prefer.
  • You can use bottled lime juice if you don’t have fresh lime.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Tequila
  • ¼ Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 pound Fresh Strawberries washed and stemmed
  • ½ cup Dragon Fruit
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • Honey and Margarita salt for rimming
  • Rosemary Sprigs to Garnish optional

Instructions

  • Start by Rinsing the Strawberries, and drying with paper towels.
  • Rinse the Dragon Fruit, and Dry the Outside.
  • Place the Dragon Fruit on a plate, and cut in half.
  • Using a small Melon Baller, scoop out small scoops of the Dragon Fruit.
  • Place the Scooped Fruit in a bowl, and place in the refrigerator.
  • In a shallow dish, add the Honey, and in another shallow dish, or on a small plate, place the Margarita Salt.
  • Dip the Glass rims in the Honey, and then in the Margarita Salt, and place in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  • In a Blender, add the Tequila, Lime Juice, about 8 of the Strawberries, 3 of the scoops of Dragon Fruit, Honey, and Ice Cubes.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Remove glasses from the refrigerator, and pour the Margarita mixture into the glasses, filling them.
  • Slice a lime, and make a slit on one side of the lime slices, and place on the rim of the Margarita Glass.
  • Slice the Strawberries starting at the small tip of the Berry, and make a cut, or slit, about 3/4 of the way up the Berry, and place it on the rim of the Glass.
  • Add a sprig of Rosemary, and a scoop of the Dragon Fruit to garnish.
  • Serve, and Enjoy!
