Ingredients

  • 14.25 ounces cake mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 3 eggs

Frosting

  • 1 cup freeze dried strawberries
  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray with flour in it and set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, place the cake mix, milk and melted butter and mix with a hand mixer until the batter is smooth.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time and mix.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
  • Remove and allow to cool completely to room temperature.
  • To make the frosting, in a food processor place the freeze dried strawberries and pulse until they turn into a fine powder. Set aside for a moment.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter for 2-3 minutes until it’s lightened in color.
  • Add in the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk and beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • Add in the freeze dried powder and mix until well incorporated.
  • Use a spatula and spread the frosting in an even layer over the entire cake.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
