Vanilla Sheet Cake With Strawberry Frosting

Ingredients
- 14.25 ounces cake mix
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup butter melted
- 3 eggs
Frosting
- 1 cup freeze dried strawberries
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray with flour in it and set it aside.
- In a large bowl, place the cake mix, milk and melted butter and mix with a hand mixer until the batter is smooth.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time and mix.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Remove and allow to cool completely to room temperature.
- To make the frosting, in a food processor place the freeze dried strawberries and pulse until they turn into a fine powder. Set aside for a moment.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter for 2-3 minutes until it’s lightened in color.
- Add in the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk and beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
- Add in the freeze dried powder and mix until well incorporated.
- Use a spatula and spread the frosting in an even layer over the entire cake.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
