 This mac and cheese has a roux-based is a rich cheesy sauce and it’s not a baked recipe so it’s a quick and simple one. 

 

 Bacon Jalapeno Pepper Jack Mac And Cheese takes less than 30 minutes to make so it makes a great weeknight meal. You can use any pasta you like for this recipe. We usually use elbows, ziti or rotini pasta. And if you like you can also substitute some of the pepper jack cheese with some aged cheddar or smoked cheddar or any cheese you like.

 

 A smooth and  creamy pepper jack cheese and crispy bacon plus a nice kick from the pickled jalapenos make this a truly scrumptious. 

 Here’s how easy it is to make: 

Ingredients:

  •  4 cups pepper jack cheese

  • 16 oz heavy whipping cream

  • 1/2 stick of butter

  • 5 strips precooked bacon

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni pasta

  • 6 to 8 pickled jalapenos; chopped

Instructions:

  1. Boil pasta as directed on the package. Drain.

  2. In a small sauce pan, add butter and let melt in medium heat.

  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a low boil. Boil until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.

  4. Add in pepper jack cheese and stir well until melted.

  5. Pour over drained pasta and toss well.

  6. Top with bacon and jalapenos.

Notes: Top with cilantro.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pepper jack cheese
  • 16 oz. heavy whipping cream
  • ½ stick butter
  • 5-6 strips bacon, cooked crisp
  • 1 lb elbow pasta
  • 6-8 pickled jalapenos; chopped

Instructions

  • 1. Boil pasta as directed on the package. While pasta is cooking place 5-6 stips of bacon on a foil lined baking sheet and cook at 350 for about 15-20 minutes or until desired crispness has been reached. Drain pasta and remove bacon from baking sheet.
    2. In a small saucepan, add butter and let melt in medium heat.
    3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a low boil. Boil until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
    4  Add in pepper jack cheese and stir well until melted.
    5. Pour over drained pasta and toss well.
    6. Top with bacon and jalapenos.
    Notes: Top with cilantro.
