Buffalo Chicken Stromboli

Buffalo Chicken Stromboli – If you love Buffalo wings then you have to try these incredibly easy stromboli made with rotisserie chicken. Serve this as an effortless and quick weeknight meal or as a tasty game day snack!

We love buffalo anything in our house. Buffalo wings of course are a favorite but sometimes we just don’t have time to make wings so we improvise and make one of our favorite flavors in other ways.

Not only is this recipe for Buffalo Chicken Stromboli  simple to make but it is super tasty.

You can make this using boneless chicken breasts that you make in the slow cooker with hot sauce and butter or you can slow boil the chicken breasts, shred then add the hot sauce and butter or an even easier and maybe even cheaper  buy a cooked rotisserie chicken and use that! We buy cooked rotisserie chickens all the time.

My market marks down whatever they don’t sell the next day. So I can sometimes buy a whole chicken for less than 2.00. I take it home and take all the meat off it and freeze it for when I need chicken meat! You will also need some  refrigerated pizza dough and white cheddar cheese.  You can also add some blue cheese if you like.  Stromboli or calzone as some people call them can be made so quickly and easily. you can make them with just about anything.

Here’s how to make it: You will need:

Ingredients:

  • *1 rotisserie chicken, shredded

  • *Buffalo sauce

  • 5 slices of white cheddar

  • 1 can of pizza dough

  • Seasoned salt (To make your own combine equal parts kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder)

*Note: You can use premade buffalo chicken or a homemade buffalo chicken too!

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. If you do not have a pre-made buffalo chicken or a homemade chicken, shred a rotisserie chicken.

  3. Coat in buffalo sauce  ( or make your own with hot sauce and butter).

  4. Unwrap a can of pizza sauce on a greased cookie sheet.

  1. Cut up or tear, 5 slices of white cheddar cheese and sprinkle on the pizza dough.  (If you like blue cheese, crumble a bit on now!)

  2. Top the cheese with shredded buffalo chicken.

  1. Starting from the end, roll the pizza dough up with the topping inside.

  2. Sprinkle with seasoned salt.

  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

  4. Let cool for 5 minutes before cutting.

We love this for a game day or party appetizer. And let me tell you they always go over big.

You can of course add more to this recipe if you choose to. Maybe add some broccoli, ranch dressing, whatever you like. We normally make it pretty plain. We like it with the white cheddar and then dip it in either blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing.
