Can I make this ahead and freeze it?

You sure can! This makes for a great make ahead dish. And a great freezer meal. Just assemble the dish following the recipe directions but don’t bake them. We normally use a aluminum pan when making freezer meals. Once the meal is assembled, cover it tightly with a layer of plastic wrap and then a double layer of aluminum foil. We place the meal in the fridge overnight to cool completely then freeze the next day. When your ready to use your freezer meal remove it from the freezer and place it in the fridge to defrost for about 24 hours or so. Remove the plastic wrap and wrap it back up with the aluminum foil. Bake for about 30-35 minutes then take the foil off for about 5 minutes to finish it up and get the cheese bubbly.
