🔪 How to Make Copycat Honey Baked Ham
Making this recipe couldn’t be easier. Just mix the coating ingredients, bake, and enjoy. It’s that easy.
Step 1: Coat with Honey Mustard
Mix the butter, honey, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until combined. Then, place the ham in a baking dish and coat it with the mixture.
Step 2: Coat with the Spice Mixture
Combine all the spices and both sugars in another bowl. Then, coat the outside of the ham with half the mixture.
Step 3: Bake
Cover the ham with foil and bake it at 325 degrees for about 2 hours or until it reaches 140 degrees.
Step 4: Coat and Bake Again
Remove the ham from the oven and carefully coat it with the remaining spice mixture. Then, bake at 425 degrees, uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes until the sugars caramelize a bit. Enjoy!

Copycat Honey Baked Ham
Equipment
- Small bowls

Ingredients
- ½ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin spice
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 10 pounds fully cooked spiral sliced ham
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
- In a small bowl melt your butter and whisk in the honey and dijon until all combined.
- Place your ham in a large baking dish.
- Coat the ham in the honey butter mixture.
- Next in another bowl combine the onion powder, paprika, pumpkin spice and both sugars.
- Using your hands coat the outside of the ham with about half of the sugar mixture.
- Cover with foil and place in the oven and bake for about 2 hours or until 130 degrees.
- Remove the ham from the oven and carefully coat the ham with the rest of the sugar mixture.
- Turn the oven up to 425 degrees and place the ham back in the oven for 10-15 minutes just until the sugars caramelize a bit.
- Slice and serve!
