💭 Tips

When it comes to making brownies, there are a few tips that you should keep in mind.

  • Let your cream cheese and eggs come to room temperature before starting – this ensures everything blends smoothly without any pesky lumps.
  • Use a butter knife or skewer to create those beautiful swirls, but don’t go overboard! Just four or five swirls would be enough.
  • When testing for doneness, look for a slight jiggle in the center when you gently shake the pan – that’s your sweet spot for fudgy perfection

⁉️ FAQ

Do you have questions about this recipe? Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions.

What makes brownies cakey vs fudgy?

The ratio of fat to flour determines your brownie’s texture. More flour creates a cakey brownie, while more fat (butter and chocolate) results in a fudgier texture.

Why are my brownies burnt on the edges and raw in the middle?

This usually happens when your oven temperature is too high, or your pan is too close to the heating element. Use the center rack for baking brownies.
