Can you use leftover rotisserie chicken for this soup?

Sure! We have used leftover chicken from a rotisserie chicken that I bought at the store. Chicken is chicken and if you have some already cooked up, add it into the soup.

We always seem to have just a little bit of rotisserie chicken leftover so we put it in a little freezer bag and add it to whatever we see fit. Why waste it when you can use it right?

Below is a picture of the ingredients in the soup pot. Looks pretty east right? Well it is!!  The hardest part is boiling the chicken breast and cooking the bacon and we all know that is not hard at all.

Is it possible to substitute rice instead of the noodles?

It is. If you’re not a noodle fan or just don’t happen to have any, you can use rice instead. We had added rice instead many times and it is just as delicious!

Or, if you’re wanting to eat a little lower carb and leave out the noodles, you can do that as well.

We add them because it gives it just a bit more substance and we like that feeling in our tummies. However, ultimately, this is your chicken noodle soup recipe so alter it however you see fit.

When you’re done making up this soup, don’t forget to share with your family and friends! Invite them over for dinner and have a fun evening of sitting around the fireplace and talking. They’re certain to love this recipe just as much as we do!
