This cake is so delicious. It is not only full of our favorite ingredients peanut butter and chocolate but it is warm right out of the slow cooker with Reese cups and Reese pieces, peanut butter and it all starts out with a cake mix so it is simple to make!
Crock Pot Reese Peanut Butter Lava Cake is super rich and decadent so if your looking for a light dessert this isn’t going to be it. But let me tell you this is always a huge hit at potlucks and family gatherings. It would be a great dessert for a BBQ too. A little goes a long way with this dessert since it is so rich you just need a little bit.

This cake is seriously over the top delicious. The fact that you can dump it all in the slow cooker and set it and let it do it’s thing is great. It’s great for a winter or summer dessert. We love using our slow cooker all year long. It’s perfect in the winter for all the comfort foods but in the warmer months it’s great because it keeps the kitchen cool.
We like to top this cake off with a bit of vanilla ice cream while it’s still warm. Add a bit of chocolate syrup and now your talking about total deliciousness!

Crock Pot Reese Peanut Butter Lava Cake
Ingredients
- 1 triple chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup cold water
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ⅓ cup unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- ½ cup chocolate syrup plus 2 tbsp
- 3 tbsp whole milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup mini Reese cups
- 1 cup Reese pieces
- whipped cream or ice cream
Instructions
- 1. Spray a 6 quart crock pot with pam spray
2. Using a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, water, eggs, 1/2 C peanut butter, 1/3 C butter, and 1/2 C chocolate syrup until combined3. Pour batter into the crock pot and cookie on high heat for 1 hour4. Check to see if still doughy, if so continue to cook in increments of 15 minutes until the cake is not so doughy anymore5. Remove the crockpot and place onto a wire rack6. In medium bowl, whisk until smooth the remaining 3 tbsp peanut butter and 3 tbsp whole milk until smooth7. Gradually whisk in powdered sugar until smooth8. Spread peanut butter glaze over the cake9. Sprinkle the mini Reese cups and Reese pieces over the cake
Scoop into bowls and serve with whipped cream or ice cream
