We’ve made all kinds of cocktails over the years, and our favorite ones are always holiday-themed. They’re so much fun because you can make drinks that perfectly match that special day. One of our favorite Valentine’s Day cocktails is this red velvet cocktail. It’s so pretty, so good, and so romantic. It’s the trifecta of Valentine’s Day cocktails!

Red Velvet Cocktail

This cocktail is so good, but even better, it’s so easy! We love this one because it only takes about 5 minutes to make, so you can make them fresh for your partner whenever you like. The white chocolate liqueur combined with the grenadine and milk makes the perfect creamy, colorful base for the shot of vodka that gives this drink its kick.

We know we’ve been talking about how great these are for a romantic evening, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention that these are great for a Valentine’s Day party, as well. Their color and flavor add a kick of fun to any gathering for the holiday.

Red Velvet Cocktail Recipe

This recipe for red velvet cocktail sort of just happened for us. We were making red velvet cake pops and cupcakes and had a few extra crumbs along with the cream cheese frosting. Then we also had plans to make a pretty drink for Valentine’s Day because well who doesn’t like pretty?! We knew the drink would be pink or red and had the idea to rim the glass with the red velvet crumbs.

The drink turned out a perfect pink and the crumbs and cream cheese frosting were amazingly delicious! We had friends coming over and didn’t have enough red velvet crumbs though so I broke out the red sprinkles. They worked great too. You can really use anything to rim your glass. Use a pink sprinkle or a multicolor one.

We will be making this drink all the time since it’s so delicious not just for Valentine’s Day! So maybe sometimes no sprinkles will be ok too. But knowing me there will always be a sprinkle of some color.

We really feel that if a cocktail can be rimmed with a sprinkle it really should be. Not only will it make it more delicious but pretty too. It only takes a few seconds to rim your glass with the cream cheese frosting then place it in the sprinkles or cake crumbs. So worth doing!
