We love having friends and family over during the holiday season, and we always make sure to make tasty treats for the adults as well as they kids. Of course, that includes a little liquid Christmas spirit. These snowball shots are a new addition to our festive holiday spirits rotation. They’re easy, delicious, and super festive.

🔪 How to Make These Snowball Shots

These shots are incredibly easy to make. It only takes a few simple steps, and you’ll be all done.

Step 1: Make the Vodka Gelatin

Add the water to a medium bowl and sprinkle the gelatin on top. Let it set until bloomed, following the directions on the packaging. Then, stir well to blend. Add the vodka and stir again.

Step 2: Divide the Vodka for the Layers

Divide the gelatin into three bowls. Add light blue food coloring gel to one bowl. Then, add sweetened condensed milk to the other two bowls. Add blue food coloring gel to the last bowl.

Step 3: Fill and Chill

Fill the shot glasses 1/3-full with the blue gelatin and place them in the refrigerator for an hour to set. Then, fill them another 1/3 with the light blue gelatin and child for another hour to set. Finally, add the white layer to the glasses and chill them in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle the Snowball M&Ms on top of the shots before serving and enjoy!

📝Variations

  • Vodka: Vanilla or mint vodka both work well.
  • More Color: You can sprinkle holiday M&Ms on top of the shots for an extra kick of color.
  • Rum: Rum makes a nice shot with this recipe, as well.

Why do Jello shots get you drunk faster?

Ingredients

  • 3 Packages Gelatin
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Vanilla Vodka
  • Light Blue and Blue Food Coloring Gel
  • 1 Tablespoon Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 7.44 ounces Snowball M&M’s

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl, add the water, and sprinkle the Gelatin on the top, and allow it to bloom, following the directions on the package.
  • Stir well to blend.
  • Add the Vodka, and stir again.
  • Divide the Gelatin into three smaller bowls. In one bowl, add the Light Blue Food Coloring Gel.
  • In one of the other bowls, add the Sweetened Condensed Milk, and in the last bowl, add the Blue Food Coloring Gel. Fill the shot glasses 1/3 full with the Blue Gelatin, and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour, until the Gelatin has set up. After the Gelatin has set, remove from the Refrigerator, and add the Light Blue Gelatin, filling another 1/3 of the shot glass, making it 2/3 full.
  • Place the shot glasses back in the Refrigerator for 1 hour to set the Gelatin.
  • Remove the shot glasses from the refrigerator, and fill the rest of the way with the White layer, and place back in the Refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • When ready to serve, sprinkle on the Snowball M & M’s to decorate.
  • Serve, and Enjoy!
